The Gove Peninsula Festival is Nhulunbuy’s premier community event. This year, the festival 
is back, bigger and better than ever before, with a seven day program commencing Saturday 
23rd of July, and culminating on Saturday the 30th of July with the Grand Finale event at the 
Town Oval, packed with activities, sporting events and great music. 
 
Applications are sought from community organizations, non-profit organizations, local 
businesses and individuals to run stalls at the Grand Finale event on the 30th of July. A 
variety of stalls are welcomed and encouraged - arts and crafts, merchandise, information, 
workshops, food and or any other type of stall that will help to make the day a memorable 
one for the community

General Information for Stallholders 

 Stallholders can opt to run their stall will be run on the 30th of July across two periods: 
o Day stalls, from 10 AM to 5 PM. 
o Night stalls, from 5 PM to 11 PM. 
• Stall locations will be published 1 week prior to the Grand Finale day, via the Festival website www.govefestival.org.au, and by email to all stall holders. 
• Stall holders will be able to access the oval between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM on the 30th of July to set-up their stall. No access for stall set-up is allowed after 10:00 AM. 
This includes 
• On the day, the Festival Logistics team will direct stallholders to their stall location from 6:30 AM. 
• The Festival Logistics team will provide power to the stall-holders site by 10:00 AM if requested in the application.  
• Stallholders will be required to provide all other equipment for their stall. All stalls must be constructed and decorated to a high standard. Only purpose built portable shade structures are permitted. A limited number of shelters are available for hire. 
• Stallholders will be required to operate their stalls in a safe manner, with demonstrated management of hazards. 
• All stallholders are required to provide a copy of their public liability insurance The Festival Association can provide insurance to stall holders at a cost of $88 including GST (insurance provided by Arena Events Insurance). 
• Stallholders selling food will be required to provide safe handling of the food, in accordance with the NT Food Act and the national Food Safety Standards, and provide a copy of their Notice of Registration of a Food Business, as issued by the NT Department of Health.
 

Submission of Application

Deadline for applications is Friday 8th of July 2011, 5:00 PM. Successful applicants will be notified by 15th of July. Early submission is encouraged
 
All applications must be submitted by email (preferred) to govefestival@yahoo.com.au, with “Stallholder Application” in the subject line; or by post, addressed to the Stallholder Coordinator, PO Box 1167, Nhulunbuy NT 0880.  
Applications must be accompanied by required payment, either electronic direct deposit or cheque, and will not be processed without this payment.
